Attivar has an in-house laboratory fully furnished with high-precision equipment for the measurement of dimensions and hardness of rubber and silicone items, both for checking work-in-progress and for the reverse engineering of existing parts that have to be replicated.
Measurements are carried out using optical measuring instruments and height gauges with digital comparison instruments.
Hardness tests are performed with either a ShoreA hardness tester or an automatic micro-IRHD hardness tester depending on geometries and needs.
Our quality laboratory technicians regularly perform inspections to monitor the quality of the products and each stage of the production process, including documentation and traceability. Specific tools and methodologies such as FMEA - Failure Mode and Effect Analysis and Cpk - Process Performance Measurement Index - are used in order to correctly assess risks and process stability.
